Layout

A simple yet colourful picture of the 4 Saiyuki boys in semi-casual, semi-formal clothes! I was searching through my archive of sexy Saiyuki pictures for an inspiration and this picture caught my eye because it is so colourful and bright, quite a deviation from Saiyuki's usual dark, grudgy colours. I also thought that the whole scenery and the characters' expressions are perfect to match the mood of the song since Saiyuki's usually pretty unforgiving and angsty and this is one of the few "happy times" pictures - even Sanzo looks less murderous than usual!

I touched it up with breezy sakura blossoms/petals because Saiyuki is definitely cherry blossom weather! In Saiyuki, a touching scene has a flower blooming in the background. An angsty scene has flower petals raining on the characters. And the Heaven is populated with sakura trees with petals raining down every which way regardless of whether someone is enjoying their sake or being killed. Needless to say, I wasn't short on any inspiration for the sakura flowers.
